My Formula 5000
RICH GALLOWAY, 29, has been racing just three years, having
started with a Formula Vee and moving to an Elva sports-racing car
during his novice days. He moved all the way to a Lola T-70 and
USRRC competition in 1968 and finished the Mid-Ohio and Mt.
Tremblant races respectably in the middle of the pack. In 1969,
Galloway switched back to single-seaters  with a new Lola T-142 FA
car for the SCCA Continental Championship. His Continental record
included  two 8th place finishes, three 9ths and two llths. He also ran a
McLaren M6B-Chevrolet in SCCA’s Canadian American Challenge Cup
series. His best finish was a 4th at Mosport Park and he also recorded
a 5th place at Laguna Seca. Galloway is a business executive living in
Denver, Colorado. Teamed with fellow Coloradan and former FA
driver. Chuck Trowbridge, as his sponsor, Galloway will be making a
serious effort in the 1970 driving a Lola T-190 for the Continental
Championship.
